Sync (or synchronization) is a process in which copyrighted music is used in audiovisual productions such as movies and films, television, adverts, video games, etc.

In June 2024, we chatted about SYNC for independent artists with Ashley Edwards. Vocalist, Musician, Founder, and Creative Director of 501c3 non-profit ecosystem iAM MUSIC, Ashley Edwards has been mentoring vocalists, artists, and bands for over a decade.

Ashley has been advocating for artist funding while producing festivals, concerts, industry summits, and events for independent musicians and artists since 2012. And as a performer, she has played 1k+ shows touring as an independent artist both in the US and internationally with various projects.
